Meet Mrs. Sims

I've been teaching since 2001.  My sons went to school at Molino Park; as well as, my husband attended Barrineau Park and Molino Elementary Schools many, many years ago.  We both graduated high school from Tate and have been a part of this community forever.  We've been married a marvelous twenty-six years and have been blessed with two handsome sons. Taylor is 25 and Zachary is 21 years old.  Both graduated from Northview High School.  Taylor has his correction's certificate, but is in the middle of changing careers.  Zachary works at International Paper and loves it there!  We are very proud of our boys, but now we have a very special fur baby that we love dearly!  Lexi is our new pride and joy.  She is a Yorkie, and the best companion we could ask for right now.  You'll see plenty of pictures and hear a lot of stories from your child because she's one subject we talk about almost daily.  If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to text or call me at       393-9107.  That's what I'm here for!

  • Safety

    • Your child's safety is our number one concern, so please be prepared to show your identification anytime you plan on entering campus.
    • Students may be dropped off at 7:20 a.m.  The car rider lane is for drop-off only.  If car riders need to eat breakfast, he/she must arrive by 7:30 a.m.
    • All transportation changes must be in writing.  In case of emergency, please call the front office.
    • For security purposes, you'll be allowed to walk your child to class the first week of school.  After that, ECSD employees will receive them from your car in the car rider line and off the buses. Thank you for your support transitioning to this new security measure.  It is our 1ST PRIORITY that your child is safe all day, every day here at MPE.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me anytime. 850-393-9107.
    • Children will only be permitted to participate in P.E. or recess with the proper foot-ware ( shoes that have rubber soles, and tie securely).
    • Any class treats donated to the classroom must be store bought.  Unfortunately, no home-made treats for students. Store bought only.

    Dress Code

    •  No flip-flops, hats, or spandex type clothing allowed per dress code.

    •  We so appreciate all that you do!  However, preschool aged children are not allowed to be present during the regular school day.  Check with your child's teacher though.  She may have many activities that can be completed at home for example, cutting, making flashcards, etc.

Honor Roll Guidelines- All A's and B's in each subject area-N's or U's in any subject area will keep students from honor roll status. Excessive Check-Outs or Tardies will affect Perfect Attendance Status.

This is a great way to stay in touch with what is happening in the classroom.  You can see your child's citizenship performance throughout the day.  Periodically, I will send out messages, pictures, or reminders to the class. If you would like to sign up for this please send me a message and I will send another copy of the instructions.
